We want this site to work for everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, or reduced-motion settings. This page describes where things currently stand. Last updated 27 August 2026.
What we aim for
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We haven't had this site audited by an external party, so we describe it as partially conformant: most of the standard is met, and we've tested the parts we can test ourselves.
What we've done
- Semantic HTML with proper landmarks and one main heading per page
- A “skip to content” link at the top of every page
- Full keyboard navigation, with a visible focus outline on every interactive element
- Text contrast measured against its actual background, meeting or exceeding 4.5:1
- Alternative text on every image, and a description on the illustrated star map
- Tap targets sized for touch, so links aren't cramped on phones
- Animation disabled automatically when your system requests reduced motion
- Layout that reflows without horizontal scrolling down to narrow screens and when zoomed
- No autoplaying audio or video, and no flashing content
Known limitations
Things we know aren't right yet:
- Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. If that request is blocked or slow, the site falls back to your system font — readable, but not as intended.
- The illustrated star map is decorative and described in text rather than fully conveyed. Nothing in it is information you need.
- This site links to our games' own websites, which we build separately and which may not yet meet the same standard.
- We haven't tested with every combination of screen reader and browser. If yours behaves badly, we'd like to know.
Telling us about a problem
If something here is hard or impossible to use, email info@duskfallstudio.org. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what browser or assistive technology you're using. We aim to reply within 2 business days, and we fix accessibility problems the same way we fix any other bug.
